McAllen Ranch Cattle Performance
Performance is first priority at McAllen Ranch. Our cattle thrive in the harsh conditions of South Texas and produce top quality calves. Performance testing of our registered stock has occurred for more than 25 years. In many instances we have had registered Beefmaster calves average 6 pounds per day on a 112-day gain test.

McAllen Ranch Data Collection
Over the past 25 years, we have collected extensive data on our cattle carcasses. Carcass data collection has allowed us to improve the quality of our beef and select individual herdsires and females based on feedyard and rail performance. We are actively involved in the Nolan Ryan Certified Tender Aged Beef Program and have had many cattle pass through the USDA approved BeefCam ™.

Cattle Breeding at McAllen Ranch
"Building a Better Beefmaster" is our goal. Careful breeding selection and complete data collection will help us in continuing a quality herd. All herd sire bulls maintain good performance information and in some cases, have the highest accuracy scores in the breed. The BBU sire summary is an invaluable tool when selecting for performance, please refer.
