McAllen Ranch Quarter Horse History
McAllen Ranch: A History of Quality Registered Quarter Horses Since 1943
McAllen Ranch has been raising quality registered quarter horses since 1946, but our horse history stretches back to early 1800.s.
Most of the McAllen Ranch quarter horses derived from South Texas quarter horse bloodlines. Some of those bloodlines were old King Ranch breeding stallions such as Old Sorrel, King P234, and Hired Hand. Those foundation quarter horses helped shape and build many South Texas ranches and are still present in our ranch horses today
When buying a quarter horse from McAllen Ranch, rest assured you are buying a horse that is bred to handle all the tough challenges of a true working South Texas ranch. Our bloodlines represent an attention to detail, history, pedigree, confirmation, and a general appreciation for the quarter horses that founded this great American breed.
